Natasha Richardson Dies

Natasha Richardson died at the age of 45. Richardson, a versatile actor, was best known for her refined stage performances, television and film acting. The actress was suffering from severe brain injury due to a skiing accident in Canada on Monday, March 16th. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and then shifted to New York, where she finally died.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time”, said Liam Neeson, Richardson’s husband.

Time and again, with her most versatile acting for over a span of 25 years, Richardson has proved her range and talent. Starting from roles in lighter mood like 1998’s family film The Parent Trap to the 2002 romantic comedy Maid in Manhattan, Richardson went on to suit herself in every appearance. Being a member of the legendary Redgrave acting family she felt more comfortable with roles that revolved around profound human dramas of Chekhov, Ibsen, Williams, and O’Neill. “I’m comfortable…where the most emotionally painful stuff is. That’s where I feel a connection”, Richardson had once said.
