All this while, buzz was that ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star Freida Pinto had been snapped up as the next Bond girl. However, Pinto stated that she was not approached to play the role.

And now, the latest we hear is that the svelte beauty Aishwarya Rai will play the role of a Bond girl in the Sam Mendes’s unknown movie.

Aishwarya Rai, is known globally for her beauty and acting, after showing her acting prowess in ‘Pink Panther’, ‘The Last Legion’ and ‘Provoked’, has proved that she can hold her own in front of an international audience and with an international star cast.

Sources close to director Sam Mendes have hinted that the rumors were fuelled because producers had been hunting for shooting locations in India, as the next Bond film is set in our backyard. And now, buzz is there that our Bachchan bahu is all set to play theBond girl in the same.

The producers wanted an Indian girl for the role of the bond girl but also made sure that the girl should have a known face. And which Indian could have been better option than Ash, who was once described as the most beautiful woman in the world.
