Sanju wants to edit his wife’s vulgar item number frm Gangajaal

Who can forget Manyata’s latkas and jhatkas in the song , ‘Alhad Mast Jawani’ from ‘Gangajaal’. But if you are still unable to trace the song
then don’t put much pressure on your brain because director Prakash Jha is redoing the color and sound of the film and coming up with the new improved version of the film. The news that is making the headlines is not Prakash Jha re-doing his films but its Sanjay Dutt’s request to the director to chop the raunchy item number of his wife from his film ‘Gangajaal’.

Manyata shoot the song when she was a struggling star. She flaunted her body in the song and it became very popular. But after getting married to Sanju baba, she has changed. She no longer wanted to be called an item girl and even does not want the audience to remember the ‘Gangajaal’ raunchy item number.

Highly embarrassed with Manyata’s dance number, Sanju baba wants Jha to remove the item number from his film.

Confirming the news, the director said, "It's true we are re-doing the sound and visuals of Gangaajal, along with my other films Damul, Mrityudand and Apaharan. We're doing the colour-correction and converting the sound to high-digital quality for blue-ray videos. We aren't deleting anything from Gangaajal or any of the films being restored."

Recalling Maanyata's item song Jha says, "When she got selected to do the item song she really worked hard on it and made it a memorable number." Though at that time she was called Dilnawaz Shaikh, she insisted on being billed as 'Maanyata' for the item song.

He added, "I remember her as possessing great dignity and a passion to excel. God bless her."
