Abbas Mustan’s ‘Race’ was a blockbuster. The director duo wishes to repeat the success history with the sequel. With this aim, they have come up with the sequel ‘Race 2’ and the biggest problem they are facing is finalizing the star casts. Saif Ali Khan
who has played a prime role in the original has opted out of the sequel due to hectic schedules. He is busy with his home production ‘Agent Vinod’ and could not give dates to the filmmaker. News is that Abhishek Bachchan will now step into Saif’s shoes.
A source said, “Saif is playing the lead in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next with Deepika Padukone. He is also acting in Kunal Kohli’s next. The actor has also been with his own film Agent Vinod. With this kind of a tight schedule Saif had no option but to opt out of Race 2.”
‘Race 2’ will be missing its two other important artists, Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif. Instead of the two beauties, Kareena Kapoor and her arch rival Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing pivotal role.
Hope, Abhishek, Priyanka and Kareena will create double dhamaka.
