Salman Starrer 'Dabangg' has broken all the opening weekend collection record in Bollywood Industry. Dabangg’s opening weekend collection was Rs 48.25 crore, which surpassed the records set by 3 idiots at Rs 41 crore.

Dabangg earned approximately Rs.14.50 crore, Rs.15.75 crore and Rs.18 crore on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which in total makes Rs.48.25 crore. Dabangg was released on Friday and Eid and Ganesh Chathurti were celebrated on Saturday; therefore the extended holiday added to its collections. Salman Khan has done its level best to promote the movie and his efforts were seen at the box office.

The movie is doing good both at single screen theaters and multiplexes. With no big release nearby it is expected that Dabangg will have good earning for next few weeks.

Dabangg and 3 Idiots are totally different movies with different concepts. 3 Idiots is more of family movie and Dabangg is a full entertainer.

Now all eyes are set on box office collection of Dabangg to see if it crosses 100 crore mark and after that if it can beat 3 Idiots' total collection at the box office. But, for opening weekend collections, Dabangg is the clear winner.

The craze of Dabangg isn't just limited to people watching the film number of times but it's definitely taken newer and interesting forms. The fans of Salman Khan have been calling up on the official phone number of a school located in a non-descript town of Fatehpur Shekhawati in Sikar district. The reason being that the landline numbers of the school have been printed on the poster of the film which are pretty much in every town and every city of India.

Not just that, but the poster also has the picture of the school along with a picture of a girl student Chanchal Moriya, all part of the collage that forms the background of Dabangg poster.

The owner of the New Rajasthan Secondary School, Mr. Om Prakash Jakhar, is extremely baffled by these developments. Ever since the movie released, people have been calling in wanting to speak to Salman or to understand the movie business. He has been receiving almost 400 calls every single day from places like Lucknow, Kolkata, Gwalior etc.
