Ek Tha Tiger in trouble; promos, reviews banned in Pakistan

Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger has landed in trouble, as Pakistan has banned screening the promos and reviews of the movie.

As per the reports, Pakistan has ordered its cable operators not to air the promos and reviews of the flick, saying that the Bollywood movie is aimed at ruining the image of the ISI.

According to reports, last week, a letter has been issued by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), which is country's media regulatory watchdog, to all satellite TV channels and cable networks to put a ban on the same.

The letter reads, "Besides, basic theme of the story revolves around Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency with the objective to tarnish the image of state owned institution."

PEMRA has directed the channels and cable networks to "refrain from airing promos/reviews" of the movie till it is issued a no-objection certificate by the Central Board of Film Censors.

"The matter should be given utmost preference and due care be ensured to uphold the country's image and any unintentional lapse in this regard be avoided," the letter said.

In Ek Tha Tiger, Salman is playing a character of RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent. Directed by Kabir Khan the movie is a romantic thriller which also stars Katrina Kaif.
