Composed by Himesh Reshammiya and sung by Sreeram and Shreya Ghoshal, the song is a tribute to the late R.D. Burman and you will notice the legendary musician’s presence not just in the video (via snaps) but also in the composition. The lyrics, penned by Sameer Anjaan, are banal, to say the least. Here’s a snatch: “Fire brigade mangwa de tu, angaaro par hai armaan…o Balma!”
A skimpily clad Claudia Ciesla shakes her booty to bongo beats even as Himesh Reshammiya’s composition cranks out a melody that’s decidedly retro but not gripping. The setting is inside a club. Asin, the film’s leading lady, is shown sipping on a drink, even as Akshay Kumar goes full bump and grind with Ciesla.
In between there are cutaways to the gravity-defying action sequences, one of them even has Akshay making the baddies fly in the air with as much as his presence.
It’s a strictly one-time hear-and-watch number with average lyrics but spirited dancing by Akshay Kumar, Claudia Ciesla and Asin, who can’t resist joining the jig in the end.
Khiladi 786 is directed by Ashish R. Mohan and slated to release on December 7.
