Rajini's life story to be a part of the CBSE syllabus!

We have all heard the Rajini jokes and received the Rajini Sms-es but from now a sixth grader will be mugging answers about superstar Rajinikath before his final examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to introduce a chapter on the superstar’s life in the ‘Learning to Communicate’ course. The reason ofcourse has very little to do with the speed with which he flips  a cigarette in his mouth or the comfort and elan with with which he fights villains onscreen. It is, infact a lesson on ‘Dignity Of Work’.

Times of India reported that the chapter on Rajini’s life story, called From Bus Conductor to Superstar has been incorporated by the CBSE board to motivate children to be successful and take pride in whatever work they do, just like their favourite superstar has, no matter what the job was — being a bus conductor or being the most loved superstar of India!

Rajinikath is a self made man.  At the age of five he lost his mother and often did odd jobs to support himself when he was a student at the Government Model Primary School at Gavipuram in Bangalore.

In his youth, he worked at the Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) as a bus conductor. It was only after film director K Balachander noticed him during a stage performance that his life changed. Rajini’s first film was Apoorva Raagangal directed by the same filmmaker. In the movie, which starred another veteran star Kamal Hassan, Rajini played a small role of Sridevi’s abusive husband. The rest as they say is history.

The superstar celebrated his 62nd birthday last week.
