Shahrukh and Priyanka were the main attraction of the award event and after their link-up reports for the first time they have together in public. All these months, the duo has been avoiding interacting on occasions as they feared that their mixing might not blew another controversy. Shahrukh and Priyanka’s closeness hit the headlines and following which it created a rift between SRK and his wife Gauri Khan. It was once heard that Gauri gave ultimatum to her husband not to work with Priyanka in future.
But now it seems that all is well with Shahrukh, Gauri and Priyanka. Gauri accompanied her husband at the Screen awards and watching Priyanka on stage with her husband did not make her feel disturbed. She too enjoyed the show.
Shahrukh who hosted the Screen awards with Ranbir Kapoor performed with Piggy Chops and in a funny note when he could not match step with her, he got a slap from Priyanka. Finally, Priyanka kissed Shahrukh on stage.
The awards event was attended by many well known celebrities from Bollywood. Katrina Kaif who was busy off late with her movies ‘Dhoom 3’ looked gorgeous in black shiny gown. Newly married Vidya Balan arrived with her father PR Balan. Vidya won four consecutive best actress screen award. She won the award for ‘Paa’, ‘Kahaani’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘The Dirty Picture'.
Rekha and Deepika Padukone were spotted chatting. Chitrangada Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Malaika Arora Khan, was also seen. Ranbir Kapoor performed on yesteryear hit numbers. Arjun Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra graced the award show.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan received a special award at the event. The evening saw a glittering performances by the 'Student of the Year stars' Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra too entertained the audience.
The mother-son duo Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir set the stage on fire.
