YRF’s current lot of directors has shifted focus from metros to small towns, be it Ishaqzaade (2012) or the recently-released Shuddh Desi Romance. Now joining the bandwagon is their upcoming movie Daawat-e-Ishq as well. According to sources, the movie’s main storyline revolves around the dowry issue which is still prevalent in small towns and rural areas.
For the movie, YRF is back with one of their favourites, Parineeti Chopra. The actress is seen as a modern girl, who roams around in the streets of the city on her scooter. Though she makes a pretty picture on the sets, her co-star Aditya Roy Kapur’s horseshoe moustache comes as a shocker. Does he play a gunda in the movie? Going by the looks, he seems to be so!
The versatile actor Anupam Kher is also seen on the sets. He has got a very comical look in the film.
Talking about the film and Parineeti Chopra, Aditya Roy Kapur has said, “She is full of fun and she is very spontaneous. We are having a good time shooting for the film. The film is a light-hearted love story.”
The movie also stars TV’s heartthrob Karan Wahi. The crew has just finished shooting in Lucknow and Hyderabad and the remaining part of the movie will be shot in Mumbai.
