Shahrukh Khan-Kajol To Unite in DDLJ Remake

Iconic romantic pair of Bollywood Kajol and Shahrukh Khan is going to reunite for the blockbuster, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge’ remake. The movie will be made under the direction of Aditya Chopra. Aditya is keen to remake the romantic saga of YRF but what sounds bit disheartening is that Kajol and Shahrukh won’t be seen full-length in the movie. They will be playing a cameo.

A source informed, "Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol (who starred in the original) will be seen in cameo roles, but won’t share screen space".

Aditya has cast debutantes for the remake of DDLJ. He has reportedly roped in TV actor Farhan Khan (Chhanchhan) and Mahika Sharma will play the iconic role of Raj and Simran. Unlike the original, the remake will be shot in Swiss Alps but the young couple will romance in Malaysia.

The source further adds, "The makers are planning to shoot a song in Malaysia."

Apart from the main protagonists, Boman Irani and Paresh Rawal will step into the role of Anupam Kher and Amrish Puri, respectively. The remake will tentatively titled, ‘Dulhaniya Chali Dilwale Ke Sath’.

"The working title is Dulhaniya Chali Dilwale Ke Sath, and Adi Chopra will be directing it. The name is subject to change, depending on the lyrics of the title song," the source says.

A source associated with the project said that there will be certain twist in the story to suit the present audience.

However, Rafique Gangjee, the spokesperson of Chopra’s production house, denied the news.
