Actor Deepika Padukone visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to offer prayers on March 11.
Dressed in white salwar kameez, the 28-year-old prayed at the Sikh shrine and also donated Rs.1000, said Parampal Singh, ADCP Punjab Police, who accompanied Deepika into the temple.
The Chennai Express star spent over an hour on the temple premises. "I don't want to leave this place and it seems the Almighty is around me," Deepika Padukone told Mr Singh on her way out.
Deepika then headed to her hotel near the airport and later left for Mumbai.
