Bigg Boss 8: Sonali Raut should be kicked out, say fans!

Looks like Sonali Raut’s slapgate involving Ali Quli Mirza (the receiver of that tight thappad)has not gone down well with Bigg Boss 8 viewers.  Many believe  Sonali simply used Ali’s notorious image to her advantage. Many also opined that Ali Quli Mirza is irritating, may be he get flirtious with women ( and gets dirty, which is highly unacceptable) But did the Dubai-based singer really deserve that harsh a deal-a tight slap on across face, while the whole world watched the spectacle? Bigg Boss fans started reacting with tremendous fury to the …ahem ahem raw deal Ali received.

” Just because I am a woman doesn’t necessarily mean that I have to support a woman, even when she is wrong. I hate Sonali for what she did. This is not an act of bravery, she was purely disgusting. Why she did not slap Ali then and there when he tried to touch her inappropriately? Sonali just read Ali’s image carefully and used his bad public persona against him to gain popularity to create a tamasha. This whole commotion is not for woman empowerment. She is not a hero, mind you” said Aarti, a regular India.com reader and an ardent Bigg Boss follower.

“Sonali had slapped her fellow co-actress Zoya Afroz, so its the habit of Sonali to slap everyone. She doesn’t deserve to be in the house, she doesn’t work, her voice is irritating, she is not entertaining, doesnt do the tasks she is just a waste walking dead of the house,” opined another reader who wished to keep her identity guarded.

Some were on Sonali’s side too. Kumar writes, “Ali deserved the slap from Sonali. His antics against Sonali are well documented now. How much bad and depressing poor Sonali would have felt when he touched her inappropriately. For her, as an individual, it was an act of give back. Well done Sonali.”

Interestingly, many voted against Sonali’s slapping saga. ” Ok here’s a lady who chooses to get cosy with Upen Patel in the presence of 100 cameras in the house. Is this intimacy, love or pure show off? What Ali did was wrong, but Sonali is a gamer too. She fails to get my sympathy. If Ali is a villain of this entire story then Sonali is not a hero either. In fact, She has shown her class by slapping Ali. Violence is justified in certain cases. Some people need to be slapped so that they know how to behave with women, but in this case Ali was just used as a bakra ( a scapegoat) whose popular image was sued to boost the nosediving TRP’s of Bigg Boss,” opined Smitha.

More reactions with strong voices are emerging after the unfortunate occurrence. Tell us what do you think Bigg Boss fans- Do you think Ali Quli Mirza was used in a strategically well- orchestrated move made by Miss Raut?
