Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem to star in Hindi remake of Oculus

Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem have given some incredible performances in the recent past and the siblings will unite onscreen for the first time in the Hindi remake of Oculus. The brother-sister duo will feature in the Indian remake of the 2013 horror film which revolves around the story of a brother and sister trying to fight a murderous spirit.

According to a leading daily, Relativity Media, the studio which distributed the Hollywood film in the US, has commissioned the Indian remake. A source told the daily that both Huma and Saqib have agreed to do the film.

"Huma will essay the role originally played by Karen Gillan. Her character has to exonerate her brother (originally played by Brenton Thwaites) from a murder charge by proving that the death was caused by a menacing ghost," said the source.

The source further added that Hollywood team has arrived in India and will be working on the remake with the Indian team. "They will be involved with everything, from scripting to filming and post-production."

The film is expected to go on floors this year and will be directed by Prawal Raman, who is currently busy with the post-production of his film Main Aur Charles.

Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem have often been spotted together at various events and it would be interesting to see the brother-sister duo on the silver screen together for the very first time.

And, if you haven't seen Oculus, here is the trailer of the Hollywood film.
