Deepika Padukone wished actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif on their alleged engagement at a recent event, saying, “If that is true, then I wish Ranbir and Katrina all the best.”
When asked backstage what New Year resolution she would make if she was Katrina Kaif, Deepika replied, “If I were Katrina Kaif, I would marry Ranbir Kapoor.”
It seems Ranbir and Deepika have made up whatever grouses they had against each other. Ranbir and Katrina started dating soon after Ranbir and Deepika broke up in 2009. While the actors kept their counsel, it was rumoured the reason behind their split was was Ranbir's closeness to Katrina.
Kat and Ranbir moved in together at a Bandra flat last year and since then the rumour mills have been speculating on their wedding date. They have repeatedly been asked about when they plan to get married but the couple has mantained silence on the issue.
Recently it was reported that the couple exchanged rings in London.
