Anushka, along with other WAGs, was barred from accompanying their partners to the World Cup. Since the team made it to the semi-finals, the board had allowed the players' WAGs to accompany them.

The couple went on a quiet dinner at an Indian restaurant accomapnied by a member of the support staff and a security officer assigned to team. Post the dinner, they called for a taxi since they did not want to invite any unwanted attention by the fans.
