Ed Sheeran to star in Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year sequel


Rumour has it that British singer will be playing a role in the next installment of Farah Khan’s 2014 blockbuster

Farah Khan’s last film, Happy New Year, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead, raked insane money at the box office. While it was no doubt that the film was made on a grand budget, but if the rumours are to be believed then its sequel may be made on an even grander level. Rumour has it that Britain’s singing sensation Ed Sheeran has agreed to star in the next installment of Happy new Year franchise.

The British song writter-composer was spotted partying with Bollywood celebs in Mumbai and the speculations are rife that Sheeran has showed keen interest in signing a Bollywood film. Not long ago, Shah Rukh Khan had managed to rope in international pop icon Akon to sing the song, Chamak Challo, in Ra One. Looks like SRK magic has lured yet another musical sensation to enter Bollywood. While neither the singer nor the filmmaker Farah have confirmed the news, the fans are immensely upbeat because of these exciting rumours doing rounds in the internet.
