Shahid Kapoor’s Haider to be screened at the London Asian Film Festival!


The film will be premiered on March 20

With maximum awards to its credit, Shahid Kapoor’s award winning film Haider is heading for a global acclaim this year. Yes!The Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, will be screened at the London Asian Film Festival (LAFF).

Presented by Tongues on Fire — a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on showcasing great cinema with an Asian flavour from all over the world, the Shahid Kapoor-starrer will be shown at the Harrow Arts Centre on March 20, reports digitalspy.co.uk.

The movie, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu, is set against the backdrop of the Kashmir insurgency in the mid-1990s. The film received accolades of praises for it’s beautiful narration. Other events planned as part of the festival include a tribute to late Bollywood star Rajesh Khanna and a choreography master class from “Happy New Year” director Farah Khan.

Now in its 17th year, LAFF runs from March 19 to 28.
