Vidya Balan will be playing Suchitra Sen onscreen. Well, is buzz is to be believed Siddharth Roy Kapur’s wifey might play the late veteran actress in her next. According a daily, the actress has already started prepping for this role. Raima and Riya Sen’s grandmother was a kathak dancer and hence Vidya has roped in Pt Jayu Raman to learn this dance form.
Looks like Vidya does not want to go wrong with this film, especially since it is a biopic. Apart from Suchitra Sen’s biopic we hear that the Kahaani actress was also one of the most sought after contenders for Benazir Bhutto’s role. Bombay Velvet actress Raveena Tandon too was being considered for Bhutto’s bio.
Vidya, turned down many films this year including Sujoy Ghosh’s Durga Rani Singh. She has just finished her next project with Emraan Hashmi, Humari Adhuri Kahani. So, is Mahanayika her next stop? If so, then who will play Sen’s hero Uttam Kumar in this film?
