Ranbir Kapoor: Football Players have no Place to Play

Ranbir Kapoor attended the NDTV Nirmal Marks For Sports event, a panel discussion for on the importance and promotion of sports in India.

Ranbir, who loves to play football and co-owns Mumbai city football club, spoke at the event alongside Maharshtra chief minister Devendra Phadnavis, hockey player Viren Rasquinha and others, about promoting sports as a career option and building the support system for those who want to pursue sports.

Ranbir shared his experience of managing a football team and the lack of infrastructure for them in Mumbai, compared to other cities in the country.

"It's a huge platform for football, and we are getting the best of players from all over the world to come and play. But when they come here they have no place to play.

They have to go to Vashi to play because the only other place you can play is Cooperage, but that is an artificial ground. If they are staying in Parel, they have to travel to Vashi every day."
