The film by director Shoojit Sircar has not just won the audiences heart, but has brought Deepika Padukone much praise for her nuanced performance.
The actress wanted to keep a souvenir as a fond memory of the film. She’s chosen to keep the earrings worn by her in the movie.
“'Piku' has been an extremely special film for me so I wanted to keep something that will remind me of the film even years later,” Deepika said.
Deepika will next be seen playing the Muslim princess Mastani in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’, slated to release on December 18 this year.
