First look of Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan in Kabir Khan's Phantom


After a long wait, here comes the much-awaited first look of Kabir Khan’s Phantom, starring Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. With Kabir Khan still breaking all the records and is counting with the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the director releases the first look of the upcoming action thriller which revolves around global terrorism.

Featuring Saif and Katrina in the first look, you can see both the actors in bruised and battered look with blindfolded in tri-colour and with backdrop landscape of Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Hotel is seen burning. The poster also has a tagline that reads – “A Story You Wish Were True”.

After releasing his much talked film Bajrangi Bhaijaan based on humanity and unity, director Kabir Khan has come up with exactly opposite film that deals with the grim subject of terrorism.

The film has been shot in Lebanon, Syria, UK, Canada and India. Indian locations include Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab’s Malerkotla. In the film, Saif will be paying the role of a spy whereas Katrina Kaif plays a character of a photojournalist.

The film is based on the series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks in Mumbai which took place on 26/11 which continued for the next four days and was led by Ten members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Ajmal Kasab one of the 10 terrorists captured alive was hanged on November 21, 2012. But many of the masterminds got away. The screenplay of the film has been written in co-ordination with author Hussain Zaidi, and is an adaptation of his book ‘Mumbai Avengers’.

The shooting and the making of Phantom was done earlier that Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but due to some reasons the film was delayed. Now that the director has dropped the first look of the film on Thursday evening, the first official trailer of the film will be releasing on July 25.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and UTV, the movie is slated to release on August 28th this year and we are eagerly waiting to see what the trailer has to shed more on after this impressive first look.
