Sanjay Dutt wrote 500 shayaris in jail

Actor Sanjay Dutt must be a relieved man as he was released from Pune's Yerwada Centrail jail on February 25 after being granted remission in his five-year sentence.

Sanjay's family members and friends visited him as he was released yesterday and in his first media interaction post release, the actor revealed that he is a 'bonafide shayar' now. He has written as many as 500 poems while he was in prison.

On his new hairstyle, Sanjay said that a convict, Mishra ji, from Dharavi was given the task of a barber and he had insisted on him giving a haircut once.

Sanjay, who walked out of jail at 8.35 am, first did a shot for Rajkumar Hirani for a biopic that the director is making on Sanjay. The actor kissed the ground, saluted the tricolor and prison and then slung a heavy bag on his shoulder. These images will be the opening shot of Hirani's biopic.

The actor arrived in Mumbai with his family in a chartered plane and went to the Siddhivinayak temple. From there, he went to pray at his mother's grave and later folded his hands in front of his father's portrait at his residence.
