Salman Khan in yet another controversy!!

Political threats may have kept some of Bollywood’s biggest names away from the India International Film Academy (IIFA) awards this year, but Salman Khan is in Colombo to make up for the depletion in star power at the event being held from today to June 5

Salman said, “I don’t really understand this. If there are some people here who are not doing well and are in trouble then we have come to entertain them. We are here to give them something.”

The actor was recently appointed as the IIFA’s social initiative ambassador.

He further said, “This way we won’t be able to visit Kashmir, Gujarat or Afghanistan. If our people are in difficulty we should not abandon them.”

Sri Lanka as a venue for IIFA has angered many Tamil supporters in India, who allege the Sri Lankan government of killing Tamils civilians at the height of the conflict between army and LTTE last year. A group of Tamils had marched from superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s Pratiksha bungalow to his Jalsa residence in Mumbai last month urging him to boycott the Colombo awards ceremony.

Bipasha misses John a lottt!!!

Bollywood’s super hot babe, Bipasha Basu, who is present in Colombo, to attend the IIFA awards, revealed that she is missing the company of her beau, John Abraham.

Bips was asked whether she is gonna miss the Bachchan family (a regular at the event) this year, to this the actress quickly responded that she misses her boyfriend more.

“I miss John. He is one person, whose company I miss the most here, not anyone else’s,” she said.

Bipasha, who walked the ramp in the look that she will be sporting in her forthcoming film “Lamha”, will also be performing at the awards night this Saturday.

John supports Bips’ topless ad

Currently, Bipasha’s topless ad is the most sensational topic everywhere. Shot in 1999, the ad pictured Bips as a Rajasthani bride getting ready for her wedding to Vivek Oberoi. It was a lottery ad whose tagline was ‘All you need is a dollar and a dream’.

Though Bipasha was puzzled looking at the ad, wondering who had unearthed the video, yet she felt she looked really beautiful and not at all sleazy.

Well, on seeing her nude pics, he did not react in any odd way instead he John appreciated her for her boldness and said that she looked really hot.

Aamir-Kareena’s magic to be revived soon

Kareena-Aamir’ on screen magic will soon be seen in Mani Ratnam’s passionate period film Lajjo.

Mani, Lajjo was earlier set aside because of some budget issues.However, the songs had already been written by Gulzar and composed by AR Rahman.

As Aamir and Kareena’s jodi in 3 Idiots proved to be a rage, there were discussions with Mani to look into the project again. According to a source, Mani plans to go into Lajjo before he begins his film with Ranbir Kapoor.

An elated Kareena says,

“I will be too happy. Giggly, girlie, Barbie doll roles don’t bring out the actor in me. I want to be challenged. I can’t play the singing, dancing mannequin any more. I’ve realised that as an actor, playing varied roles is what I enjoy the most. I’m starving for good roles. My characters in Ra.One and Saif’s home production Agent Vinod are powerful roles,” .

Bebo actually took basic tips from her sister Karisma and co-star Kajol to play a mother in Ra.One and Stepmom.

Kareena says she feels being an aunt to Karisma’s kids has prepared her for a more mature phase in her career.
