An abundance of congratulatory messages seem to be coming Vivek Oberoi’s way. First, he is all set to marry a certain Priyanka Alwa, and second, his movie ‘Rakta Charitra’ is all set to see light of day, in October itself. We caught up with Vivek only recently. With his wedding slated for October 2010 - the same time his movie is to hit the screens - one wonders if the actor will be able to do justice to the ‘Rakta Charitra’, a film he believes will create the same magic ‘Company’ did for him!
“It’s going to be difficult, but I’m sure the producers will sort it out. We’ll find a way,” said Vivek. South actor Suriya, who acts with him in ‘Rakta Charitra’ took the mike at the ‘Rakta Charitra’ press conference in Mumbai and boldly wished the to-be-groom. “I wish him well, and wish him the best,” he said as soon as he was asked to speak a few words.
When asked if wife Priyanka will be an important ‘supporting cast’ in his life, Vivek was quick to say, “She won’t be promoting my films, why should she? And no, she won’t play supporting cast even in my real life. In real life, Priyanka will be the main lead.” This answer was met with much applause. About when and where the wedding will be held and who all are going to be invited, Vivek simply said, “A lot is yet to be decided, we want it to be a simple, yet memorable moment.” However, if talks are to be believed the wedding will take place in Mumbai, and the Oberois plan to make it quite a generous affair.
