Salman Turns 45!

He's a star who sparkles superbly in his own galaxy. At Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's suburbs, much fun and jubilation is in the air as Salman Khan, who celebrates his 45th birthday today, is enjoying the best period of his filmi career these days. With two big hits like 'Wanted' and 'Dabangg' under his belt, he seems to be unstoppable at the box office. Son of Salim and Salma Khan, Salman made his debut with Sooraj Barjatya's blockbuster hit, 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and won the Filmfare for the best male debut in 1989. He followed this hit with many others like 'Saajan', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Karan Arjun', 'Judwaa', 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya' and 'Biwi No 1'.

Salman continued to woo his fans with appearances in films like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Tere Naam', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'No Entry' and 'Partner' till he arrived at the two biggest hits of his career, 'Wanted' and 'Dabangg'.

Salman is part of the Khan dom, along with Shah Rukh and Aamir, among the three most popular and most successful actors in the industry. Of course, there are many who would beg to differ on that. However, leaving that aside, one has to admit that Salman's bratty behavior and his sculpted body have won him a host of fans. The actor is also very well known for his girlfriends, the list of which included the likes of Sangeeta Bijlani and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

There is much speculation these days about the nature of his relationship with actress Katrina Kaif, but only Salman and Katrina know the truth. The actor is also known to have a huge heart and does a lot of charity through his NGO 'Being Human'. He is also known to love easily but not forget easily as his enemies Shah Rukh and Vivek Oberoi would know well.

On his b'day, here's wishing the mercurial actor a very happy birthday, a year ahead where he will be more 'Wanted' as an actor in cinebiz and many more personal joys to add cheer to his life.
