Saif Ali Khan has been anointed the new Nawab of Patuadi at a ceremony at his ancestral palace.
It was a ‘pagdi’ ceremony where heads of villages tied a white turban around the actors head. Mother Sharmila Tagore, sisters Saba and Soha were present. Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also graced the occasion.
This tittle, the “Nawab of Patuadi” has been passed on to him from Saif’s dad, former Indian captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who passed away on Sept 22, this year.
