Salman not interested Hindi remake of 'Arya 2'

Salman Khan doesn’t believe in repeating himself. So he’s not falling for the temptation of doing more Hindi remakes of the south blockbusters even after the super performance of his films Ready and Bodyguard (both remakes of south hits) at box office last year.

For a few months now, the Hindi film industry has been abuzz with the gossip of Salman Khan possibly doing the Hindi remake of the south hit Arya 2, starring Allu Arjun, Navdeep and Kajal Aggarwal. The film is the story of two friends, and required Salman to play an orphan who grows up to be a drunkard but mends his ways for the sake of his friend. Later, both the friends fall in love with the same girl but one of them sacrifices his love.

Reports say a screening of Arya 2 was especially held for Salman Khan recently, but the actor did not show much interest.

The actor’s diary is presently chockfull with film projects and he’s looking forward to sign only those that are extraordinary. So he turned down the offer for Arya 2, despite the fact that south remakes have done wonders to his career. It may be noted that even Wanted was a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri.

Salman Khan is soon going to be busy with the shooting of Dabangg 2, co-starring Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Mahi Gill, Vinod Khanna and Prakash Raj. The film will be directed by Arbaaz Khan.
