Mahesh Bhatt calls Aditi Rao Hydari a "modern-day Nutan"

Mahesh Bhatt is not the one to mince words, but at the same time he makes sure to praise someone when it's due.

The latest person to earn his admiration is Aditi Rao Hydari. In fact, the veteran filmmaker has gone to the extent of calling her a modern-day Nutan.

Mahesh Bhatt has only good words to shower on the Bollywood newbie and her acting skills.

Aditi Rao Hydari, who was last seen in London Paris New York, is all set for the release of Murder 3. So far, the actress has played only girl-next-door characters.

"She is seen as someone who can pull of a bubbly role but this film will alter her girl-next-door image," a source said.

The filmmaker said, "After a very long time, I've seen someone on the Indian screen with a feminine mystique similar to that of Nutan's. When you'll watch the movie, you'll understand why I've stated what I've stated over here."

During the shoot of Murder 3, Aditi ended up injuring her hand. A source said, "Aditi was to be filmed as being banged against a door. She was rehearsing the scene for quite some time and then decided to give the final take. She got so involved in the act that she banged hard on the glass door resulting in a swollen hand."

Apparently the actress' hand became twice its regular size. Aditi said, "I rested my hand in a mug of ice in between shots. In fact, at one point my director even asked me if I wanted to postpone the shoot. I refused, thinking my already red hand would look authentic in the scene."
