First Look: 'Aatma' featuring Bipasha, Nawazuddin

The first look of the most awaited Horror Films of 2013, Aatma is out. The film is Bipasha Basu's fourth Horror Film. The film is directed by Suparn Verma who had earlier made Films such as Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and Acid Factory which were a Rip-Off from ConFidence and The Unknown respectively.

There were News floating in Press and Media about Suparn Verma keeping the film's climax a tight secret from the cast and crew too. No one was allowed the last 10 Pages of the Film's Script.

The Poster of the film looked scary to me, But i didn't found the Trailer of the film impressive at all. There are some spooky scenes in the Trailer though. The film also stars the exceptional actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with the Bong Beauty Bipasha Basu.

According to the Film's Trailer, It tells the tale of a Dead Father (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) who comes back to take his beloved little cute daughter along with him and the Mother (Bipasha Basu) fights for the survival. Nawazuddin claims that it's not a horror film but is instead a psychological thriller. And he also says that he believes it's one of Bipasha's best films till date!

Keeping that in mind plus the fact that Nawazuddin is such an exceptional actor, I'm hoping that we can expect a great deal from this movie. But somehow, If you look closely, You will get the entire suspense from the Trailer itself.

I have become the face of fear: Bipasha

Bipasha Basu seems to have become the common face of horror films. After "Raaz 3", she will be seen next in Suparn Verma's "Aatma".

"I have become the face of fear. I don't mind being a trend setter. Horror is a genre of entertainment and if it has the producers and the audience, then why not," she said at the launch of the first look of the film held here Monday evening.

Talking about the horror films which she has been a part of, the actress clarified that all of them had been different in their own way.

"Each and everyone of them has had very different roles," the actress said.

Basu added that it was the script and screenplay of the film which attracted her to take it up.

"While I was listening to the narration, I thought the film would be fabulous. The script and screenplay attracted me," she said.

Talking about the genre of horror, Basu feels that it is at its nascent stage at the moment and has a lot of potential.

"I feel that horror is at the nascent stage at the moment. We can do so many different things with horror as a genre," she said.

Directed by Suparn Verma, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui opposite Bipasha Basu.

'Aatma 2' is definitely happening

Director Suparn Verma, who is all set to release his horror film "Aatma", says the sequel has already been planned.

" 'Aatma 2' is definitely happening," he said at the launch of the first look of "Aatma" held Monday evening.

The film stars Bipasha Basu and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Talking about how Nawazuddin came on board, the director said he had met the actor and asked him to either take it up or suggest someone else who would suit the role.

"I had met Nawazuddin and had told him that if he doesn't decide to do the film. Then he should tell me who else would be able to do it. He heard the script and said yes," he said.

Nawauzuddin Siddique has been seen in films like "Kahaani", "Gangs of Wasseypur" and "Talaash". The actor said that it was the emotional angle that had attracted him to the film.

"This film is not only horror but has an emotional angle too which attracted me towards it. I could feel the story as I also have a daughter. The bonding between the parents and the child shown in the movie attracted me towards it," Nawazuddin said.

Asked how much he could relate to the film, the actor said: "There are many things which scare me. I am scared of Aatma. The film also talks about a feeling which comes when you do something wrong. This happens with me in real life as well."

The film is all set to release March 22.
