Sana Khan, the other heroine of Jai Ho, is apparently not happy with the kind of treatment she got by the makers of the film. The actress feels sidelined by her mentor Salman Khan.
Salman Khan roped in Sana Khan for Sohail Khan’s Jai Ho after seeing her in Bigg Boss 6. The South siren was more than happy to get a role in a film with Salman, but her supposed big launch has turned out to be a damp squib, not just because of the film’s underperformance at the box office, but also the measly footage she got in it.
Sources close to the actress say that Sana Khan isn’t speaking her mind for fear of a backlash from the high and mighty of Bollywood. “Sana is small fry in the industry. She feels powerless and is afraid that if she speaks out at the moment, her career may get adversely affected.”
Salman Khan confused by low collection of 'Jai Ho'
When the promotional rounds of Jai Ho started, it was obvious that Salman Khan was busy promoting Daisy Shah as the main female lead of the film. Reportedly, this didn’t go down well with Sana as Jai Ho was also her big ticket to Bollywood like it was for Daisy. The final jolt came when she watched the film and discovered that she had only one scene before the interval and her role had been shortened beyond her belief.
For Jai Ho, Sana Khan even let go her chance to participate in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The show might have fetched her good money.
Now, Sana is hoping to work with Salman Khan again because the superstar has promised her another role. Hope she cashes in on Salman’s brand name this time.
