‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actor Rakesh Diwana dies after weight loss surgery

Television actor Rakesh Diwana, who played the role of Kumbhkarna in popular serial ‘Ramayana’ telecast in 2008-09, died on Sunday (April 27). He was 48.

He had developed complications following a weight loss surgery he underwent at a hospital in Indore four days back. Diwana was admitted at Mohak Hospital for the surgery on April 20.

His family members alleged that Diwana, who played the role of Maharaj ji in hit TV serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,  died due to negligence on the part of hospital.

However, the hospital management dismissed the charge. “Diwana had undergone bariatric surgery on April 23 and at that time his condition was normal. After the procedure, he suffered hypertension and brain stem dysfunction which deteriorated his condition and he was shifted to ICU,” the hospital said in a statement.

“All efforts were made to improve his condition, but he could not be saved,” it further said.

Exclusive: Rani Mukerji promises grand reception at YRF studios for friends

Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji’s wedding in Italy away from homeland doesn’t come as a surprise as the industry pretty much knew how Aditya loves to be away from media as much as possible. Thus, it was the groom’s decision to choose Italy as venue to avoid media glare. Meanwhile, bride Rani Mukerji has promised her close friends from the film industry a grand reception at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.

As per the sources, Aditya has always been camera shy thus he was not very keen in getting married to Rani in India. The reason was media. Adi has always kept low-profile thus, in order, to avoid media attention, he zeroed in on Italy as a place for wedding.

“The wedding took place in a lavish villa at countryside of Italy. It turned out to be a private function where the close family members and friends of the couple made their gracious presence,” reveals the source.

The pretty bride Rani has plans to throw a grand reception at Yash Raj Films studios something she had already promised to her close and selected friends from tinsel town.

Movie Review: 'Kaanchi'

Cast: Mishti, Kartik Aaryan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor;

Directed by Subhash Ghai;

Rating: ****

Subhash Ghai loves the mountains. In many of his films, these are captured with the sobering imposingness of a climber gazing lovingly and reverently at the peaks he knows he must conquer.

And conquer, he does. "Kaanchi" delivers a walloping punch. From the tale of a girl from the hills contesting the city marauders' rights to usurp her of land and love, to a frenzied saga of revenge in the big bad city where the innocent girl assumes the role of a desi Lara Croft, Ghai tackles the craft and the emotions with a devilish deftness.

In a script as intricately woven as a Kashmiri carpet, Subhash Ghai threads together a jampicked jigsaw. Something or other is always happening in some corner of the script.

"Kaanchi" is a puzzle of a film. It bustles and brims over with reformatory ideas, anti-corruption zeal, and lunges for an overweeningly ambitious format of storytelling where Raj Kapoor's "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" meets Rakesyh Mehra's "Rang De Basanti". Ghai employs every cliche in the book of formulistic storytelling. And you know what? He succeeds in telling a spectacular story filled with muted sound and flamboyant fury.

"Kaanchi" is the story of a girl's journey from the innocent unspoilt mountains of Uttarakhand to the corrupt and corrupting sinful city of Mumbai....The format is not new to Ghai's cinema. He tried it earlier in "Taal". In "Kaanchi", the approach road from the back of beyond to the mainland mayhem is far more upfront and aggressive. The music, so essential to the impact of Ghai's cinema, here conveys the split personality of a society that is caught in a migratory transition.

The film packs in the punches with undiminished enthusiasm from the first frame to last. The scenes are conceived with cohesive care while the dialogues are quick-witted in the way we've grown up hearing in commercial Hindi cinema. Subhash Ghai turns on the tempestuous tap full blast. Though the pace does tend to flag at times - what with the characters assuming more emblematic significance than they are able to handle - the filmmaker makes sure there is an element of underlined expectancy in nearly every episode.

The episodes write themselves out with a pungent precision. At times you feel the narrative should have been allowed to be more spontaneous. But then you realize this is not a film that tries to impress with subtlety. The charm of the protagonist Kaanchi's journey is not in its quotient of adventurousness but in delivering an exuberance of the expected.

And now the million-dollar question about Ghai's latest discovery. Does Mishti live up the high standards set by the filmmaker's earlier debutant/semi-debutant heroines? In spite of her inability to touch some of the peaks required in the dramatic scenes, the girl with her very Bengali personality and a serene simplicity creates a very favourable impact. Bearing a faint resemblance to Mandakini in "Ram Teri Ganga Maili", Mishti breezes through most of the film with charm and confidence.

Mishti gets very strong support from her two leading men. Kartik Aaryan's very athletic ramp-friendly personality is used to play off the heroine's rustic artlessness. Kartik has a very bright future ahead. In the second-half the ever-dependable Chandan Roy Sanyal takes over as the man in Kaanchi's life. Cast as a roguish cop whose morals are as questionable as the lyrics of the item song he dances to, Chandan plays a role similar to the one Parmabhrata Chatterjee played to Vidya Balan in "Kahaani".

Interestingly Mishti's character is shown to be a use-friendly go-getter. Looking at her pluck and gumption, we finally have the answer to the sexy sawaal: "Choli ke peeche kya hai?"

Ironically in this film about youth power, it's the veteran actors who let the script down. Mithun Chakraborty and Rishi Kapoor as a pair of trouble-makers are deliberately lampoonish. Why is Mithun's mouth stuffed with marbles like Brando on a bad-teeth day? And why does Rishi dance to a song that does no justice to his "Karz" past? But then Ghai's villains have always been outrageously self-important. Newcomer Rishab Sinha as Mithun's son has a very important role which he squanders away in serious apathy and a ludicrous wig.

In spite of its jagged edges and its tendency to take itself a tad too serious, "Kaanchi" manages to simulate a supple empathy for its disarmingly uni-dimensional characters. Sudhir Chowdhary's cinematography helps to fund Ghai's dream of a nation where one girl with the help of some rock-singing youngsters can free us of corruption.

"Kaanchi" tells us there is no harm in dreaming. It marks the return of the Showman to form. This is a warm-hearted free-spirited ode to new-age womanhood. The female protagonist's dharm-yuddh with evil forces may lack in subtlety. But then the time to tackle terror with tact is over.

It's time to take on corruption head-long. "Kaanchi" does just that. With feeling and drama.

FIRST LOOK of Prabhu Deva's Next: Akshay Kumar in 'Singh is Bling'

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday: A soldier is never off the duty’ is all set to hit the theatres soon, and the actor is ready for his next venture.

The first look of Akshay Kumar’s another very anticipated film, ‘Singh is Bling’ is out.

With the film, Prabhu Deva and Akshay are coming together once again after the mega success of their ‘Rowdy Rathore.’

The two posters of ‘Singh is Bling’ recently got out through Akshay’s Facebook and from the posters it seems the film is a perfect treat of full masala entertainer.

As decoded from the poster, Akshay would be seen in his courageous dominating avatar in the film, roasting his previous ‘Powerful Singh’ image once again on screen.

In the first poster, Akshay can be seen flaunting his bare body wearing a gold turban and possessing a gold pistol in his hand as myriad of gold surrounds the actor along with a few flying notes.

While in the second poster, the actor is walking donning an intriguingly macho and smashingly hot image of a Sikh as he wears a lot of gold chains and his gold turban.

Earlier too, Akshay garnered a lot of raving views for his character in the blockbuster ‘Singh is Kinng’ in the year 2008.

Akshay’s look in the film was much liked by his fans and his irresistible chemistry with sassy Katrina Kaif remained the talk of the town.

Now since the actor is once again coming with his larger-than-life ‘Singh’ image on screen, we wonder would Akshay be able to recreate his ‘Singh is Kinng’ magic!

Rajeev Khandelwal injured in road accident

Bollywood actor Rajeev Khandelwal who is busy promoting his latest release ‘Samrat & Co‘ met with an accident at Mira Road while returning from one of the promotions.

While taking a route back from Water Kingdom, another car crashed into the actor’s SUV leaving the passengers in shock.

Onlookers claim that most of them were safe but Rajeev ended up suffering an injury on the right shoulder, after which he was rushed to a nearby hospital in that area. Also, accompanying the actor was a team of publicists along with the leading lady of the film Madalsa Sharma.

Also the ladies present in the car that rammed into Rajeev’s SUV were taken away for medical treatment. Soon, a team from Gorai Police Station took the matter into their hands and are now investigating the case.
Currently, we hear that, Rajeev has been advised three weeks of bed rest.

We wish the actor a speedy recovery.

Check out First look: Aditya Roy Kapur-Parineeti Chopra in 'Daawat-e-Ishq’

Now, this is called a lip-smacking first look. Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra are seen pampering their taste buds in the first look of the YRF film 'Daawat-e-Ishq'.

The movie is directed by Habib Faisal whose very desi Romeo-Juliet kind of love story ‘Ishaqzaade’ was well loved by a lot of cinegoers. This time, again, Faisal has set his story in a town.

Parineeti Chopra plays a Hyderabadi sales-girl named Gulrez "Gullu" Qadir and Aditya Roy Kapoor plays a Lucknowi cook by the name Tariq "Taru" Haidar. The two are as different as gol-gappe and gulab jamun. Yet, how these contrasting personalities fall for each other forms the crux of the story.

For the movie, Aditya Roy Kapoor has got a very rugged look with that horseshoe moustache, buzz cut, and bulgy biceps. Parineti Chopra looks her vivacious self.

'Daawat-e-Ishq' was earlier slated to release in June but has now been postponed to September 5.

The movie is produced by Aditya Chopra and has music by Sajid-Wajid.

Do you like the first look of 'Daawat-e-Ishq'?

Trailer: Goofy actor kidnapped, taken to Pakistan in ‘Filmistaan’

A goofy Indian actor is kidnapped and held hostage in Pakistan in the trailer of the coming comedy film Filmistaan.

In Mumbai, the affable Bollywood buff and wannabe actor Sunny (Sharib Hashmi), works as an assistant director but fantasizes about becoming a star. He thinks he’s a great actor. Reality is, he hams like there’s no tomorrow. No surprise that at every audition he is summarily thrown out.

Finally, he gets an offer to work on a documentary with an American crew. The shoot takes place in remote areas of Rajasthan, very close to the border with Pakistan.

One day a terrorist group kidnaps Sunny instead of an American crew-member. Sunny finds himself on enemy border amidst guns and pathani-clad guards, who decide to keep him hostage until they locate their original target.

That’s when the India versus Pakistan ideological clash emerges among the ragtag bunch of characters. Who’s the best cricket player: Sachin Tendulkar or Shahid Afridi? And many such quibbles.

'Filmistaan' shows how cinema can be the universal panacea for co-existence. The film is jointly produced by Shyam Shroff, Balkrishna Shroff, Subhash Choudhary, Shaila Tanna and Siddharth Roy Kapur. It is directed by Nitin Kakkar.

'Filmistaan' releases on June 6th, 2014

Movie Review: '2 States'

Cast: Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amrita Singh, Revathi, Ronit Roy

Direction: Abhishek Varman

Rating: ***(3 Stars)

Churning the "slice of life" genre of movie making is not something new in Bollywood and it's been time and again when we have seen our Industryvalas putting in their stirring apparatus in the genre to get something desirable out of it. Be it about painting something pertaining to "love in the time of recession" , "life in metros", "sperm donation" or something as sensitive as "inter- caste marriage", our Bollywooders at the power of their connoisseur vision always manage to come with a modern day cine idea belonging to the cine-ilk of "slice of life".

And this time its cross cultural or rather inter-regional, inter-caste marriage which has allured Sajid Nadiadwala & K.Jo, who have come up with a cine offering based on the bestselling novel "2 States" of the ace novelist, Chetan Bhagat, with the theme of cross- culture or inter-caste marriage being at the centre of the business.

Well this is not for the first time that any of the Bollywooders have tried to experiment with this genre. If we turn back the leaves of Indian cine history then Bollywood's association with somewhat similar story-line dates back to 80's, when Kamal Haassan and Rati Agnihotri starrer 'Ek Duje Ke Liye", where a South Indian lad falls for a North Indian girl, made it to cine world. But after seeing, `2 States", it looks like with a shift in the era, even the concept of inter-caste love and marriage has taken an altogether different shape. On one hand where "Ek Duje Ke Liye" banked heavily upon the plight and agony of lovers, its 21st century version i.e. "2 States" not only differs from the spirit of its predecessor, but also introduces viewers to a new perspective pertaining to inter-caste or cross cultural love affair and marriage.

Based upon the bestselling novel of Chetan Bhagat, `2 States", truly re-introduces us to a usually seen reality of North-south divide, where for North Indians, every South Indian is a "MADRASI" and for every South Indian, North Indians are nothing more than the boastful exhibitionists. Besides this what "2 States" communicates with conviction is that, in Indian culture marriage is a ceremony which takes place between families & not just between a boy and a girl, therefore making certain facts mandatory. Firstly girl's family must have a liking for boy, secondly boy's family must have liking for girl and thirdly, but most importantly girl's family must have a liking for boy's family and vice-versa. And after that if any quota of liking and love remains in hand, only then the love birds should proceed ahead with their foremost desire of tying the nuptial knot.

Anyhow unfurling the premise of the movie, `2 States" primarily pertains to the twisty- twirly love jaunt of cupid bitten lovers, Krish Malhotra ( Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya Swaminathan who after having a rendezvous at IIM-Ahemdabad fall in love with each other. With frames rolling ahead the duo decides to tie the nuptial knot, but the only hitch in this noble mission of theirs are their respective family backgrounds, where Krish is from North Indian Punjabi family, whereas Ananya belongs to a Tamil Brahamin community. And what follows next is the cultural clash between their parents. So what happens subsequently, does Krish and Ananya succeed in convincing their sweetie rebels i.e. their parents and make their love triumph, or do they lose it to destiny, to know watch "2 States".

Because of "2 States" being a cine narration based on the best seller "2 States" an autobiographical eponymous account of Chetan Bhagat, there remains very less scope to gauge the enveloping appeal of the story-line. But yes one thing which stands-out as a fact is that, while dealing with a somewhat generic issue, Chetan has prudently succeeded in embossing a diverse range of socio-cultural & emotional variables, on the story to make it an assimilating reading or viewing experience.

As far as mesmerizing captivating potency of "2 States" while its being on big screen is concerned, then for that perspective entire credit goes to movie's director and screenplay writer, Abhishek Varman, who has not only kept every minutest detail pertaining to cultural diversity, emotional expressiveness etc under tabs, but at the same time has adroitly managed to keep the spirit of Bhagat's best seller alive. If we talk about the shifts in the time periods, flow of narration, and even liaison and affinity of onscreen characters then even that packaging of "2 States" is so dauntless and neat, that you somewhere sub- consciously stats empathizing with the onscreen proceedings.

With his exemplary cinematographic adeptness, Binod Pradhan has captured milieu and every relevant detail associated with the narration with paramount excellence. By dexterous use of her editing skills, Namrata Rao further contributes to the win-win score of "2 States". Dialogues of, Hussain Dalal are again quite authentic and expressive, that too sans any obtruded inflation or pompousness.

With some adorable aural melodies very much in accordance with the spirit of the movie, music of Shankar Ehsaan Loy thoroughly illuminates the overall appeal of the movie.

As far as performance spectrum is concerned then decorated with some marvellous acting accomplishments of entire cast, "2 States" turns out to be a picture perfect visual delight too.

After donning the blanket of somewhat grey-shades in his past cine stints Arjun re- introduces viewers to an altogether different side of his acting ability, where he quite effortlessly slips in the robe of a charming yet decorous metro-sexual guy. Even Alia seems to have matured now as an actress and besides that confident dialogue delivery, it's her far more polished emotional expressiveness which does wonders for her.

Supporting cast of the movie, comprising of a bunch of seasoned performers like Amrita Singh (who plays the character of a dominant Punjabi mother), Ronnit Roy, and Revati (who always manage to grab your attention by her performance as staunch yet stoic Tamilian) and Shiv Subramaniyam not only authenticates the onscreen proceedings, but also resolutely glorifies it.

To sum up, bedecked with colossal chemistry of Arjun and Alia, complemented by the story telling excellence of, Abhishek Varman and festooned with story-line of Chetan Bhagat's best seller, "2 States" is no less than a nectar for soul. And contrary to one of the dialogues of the movie stating that, ` the story need not to have a hero, rather story itself should be hero (Story Main Hero Ho Na Ho, Story Hero Honi Chahiye), I would like to specifically mention a fact, that undeniably story of "2 States" is a hero in itself and but at the same time everything pertaining to it is also heroic. Therefore on the basis of these findings I am going with 3 out of 5 stars for this congenial cine affair.

Gauri Khan parties with Karan Johar

A lot has been said about how KJo and SRK’s friendship has gone kaput. It may have, but Johar is still pretty close to King Khan’s wifey Gauri

Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar may not be best of friends anymore but the former’s wife isn’t affected by their changing equation. Gauri Khan and the Koffee with Karan host have remained good friends irrespective of the fact that Gauri’s hubby is no longer in good terms with KJo. In fact, Ms Khan recently had a fun Saturday night with her gang of girls and the Dharma Productions head honcho. The talented filmmaker even posted a selfie on Twitter and wrote, “Fun Saturday night!!!!” Well, going by the picture it seems Gauri and Karan had a gala time with their friends, hai na? We are glad that Gauri Khan has kept her dosti with Karan intact. She is one star wife who makes friends and keeps her bonds strong, no matter what her superstar husband may do. Kudos to her!

As for SRK, we hope he learns from Gauri how to act his age and maintain relationships.

Genelia D'Souza Pregnant With First Child!

As soon as Bollywood actresses get hitched speculations of them being preggers start flying. So after Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor now it is Genelia D'Souza's turn to feel the heat.

As soon as the chirpy actress appeared in a full length anarkali at an award show recently, tongues started wagging.

Even at the screening of hubby dear Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi venture 'Yellow', we couldn't help but notice that little bump as she walked in dressed causally in black T-shirt and jeans.

Though her spokesperson has denied it, rumours refuse to die down.

When other married actresses are refusing to settle down in motherhood, hope we get to hear good news from the adorable couple.

Movie Review :Main Tera Hero

Cast:Varun Dhawan, Ileana D'Cruz, Nargis Fakhri, Anupam Kher, Saurabh Shukla and Rajpal Yadav

Director: David Dhawan

It is with much trepidation that one approaches Bollywood comic romps these days. They tend to hinge more on heavy-handed buffoonery than on genuine hilarity.

Main Tera Hero has both strains of comedy, the crass and the truly funny, but in the end it is the latter that dominates.

The sheer absurdity of the screwball plot does not weigh unduly heavy on the film because the likeable oddballs that populate it quickly get on top of things.

Of course, amid the frantic pace of Main Tera Hero, the one-film-old and understandably over-enthusiastic Varun Dhawan is frequently in danger of tripping over the line.

Obviously keen to graduate from student to superstar, the lead actor dances, fights and romances his way through the film with great gusto. He manages to retain his balance. No mean feat that.

The wacky screenplay (Tushar Hiranandani) is driven by a go-as-you-like, act-as-you-please spirit that is further fanned by the no-holds-barred dialogue (Milap Zaveri).

That gives the actors the leeway to be completely batty.

Main Tera Hero is a laugh riot, unapologetically mindless but infectiously boisterous and off-the-wall.

Do not look for logic and sense here. Just sit back and enjoy the harmless lunacy unleashed by a bunch of cranks whose actions would make little sense if they were to be judged by the rules normal human behaviour.

Main Tera Hero is an action-packed romantic comedy that is peppered with vivacious performances, peppy musical set pieces, and a breezy and an unusual love triangle that eventually acquires an additional angle.

The liberal doses of zaniness and some of the over-the-top directorial touches are reminiscent of the David Dhawan of yore.

The film certainly has its share of moments (especially in the early parts of the first half) that aren’t particularly effective.

These slip-ups could leave the less patient segments of the audience squirming in their seats and wondering what the hell is going on.

However, once Main Tera Hero warms up and settles into its chosen off-kilter rhythm, it hurtles along without let and sets itself up nicely for a bouncy climax that is as crazy as anything else that the film has on offer.

The story, which is clearly only a pretext to hang the film’s many gags on, delivers frantic twists and turns that strain credulity.

But the situations do not seem to be out of place in the context of the misadventures of a college laggard (Varun Dhawan) who moves from Ooty to Bangalore to get a life.

But in the big bad city, the loose cannon courts even bigger trouble by daring to aggressively woo a pretty college mate (Ileana D’Cruz), who a rogue policeman (Arunoday Singh) wants to marry no matter what.

The hero converses with the gods, needles the boorish cop and continues on his merry ways until his botched-up life takes another turn.

Unbeknown to him, the daughter (Nargis Fakhri) of a gangster (Anupam Kher) is smitten by the young man.

All hell breaks loose when he finds himself in the mobster’s den in Bangkok.

In the free-for-all that ensues, he is not only caught between the two girls in his life but is also compelled to think on his feet and devise ways to keep the clumsy cop at bay.

Director David Dhawan conjures up a world where anything goes, take it or lump it.
The college that the hero goes in order to acquire a degree does not resemble any educational institution that exists anywhere in our part of the world.

The dreaded Bangkok mafia don whose beloved daughter falls in love with the unsuspecting male protagonist does very little that could justify his pre-eminent billing in the world of crime.

But then, Main Tera Hero isn’t remotely interested in creating a real college campus where boys and girls fret over mundane things like attending classes and preparing for examinations.

Nor does the film intend to etch out a fearsome figure of a bloodthirsty gangster who needs no provocation to pull the trigger on his adversaries. Instead, he arouses more mirth than fear.

That is the kind of film Main Tera Hero is. It is designed as a madcap escapade and that is all there is to it.

Varun Dhawan pumps every ounce of strength into serving the film’s avowed purpose.
D’Cruz and Fakhri provide ideal foils to the male lead although the latter’s character is sketchy and her Hindi diction way too dodgy.

The lead trio is well supported by an array of comic talent – Anupam Kher, Saurabh Shukla and Rajpal Yadav. When they are on the screen, even the less convincing passages pass muster.

Saurabh Shukla as the gangster’s wise-cracking sidekick and Yadav as the cop’s bullied assistant are the best of the lot.

As one character in the film reminds another, forget the words, just focus on the emotions. In fact, it would be wise to ignore the emotions too.

Main Tera Hero, for all its excesses, is held together by its sustained comic energy. The sillier it turns, the better it gets.

The film has enough laugh-out-loud situations for the audience not to be overly put off by the screenplay’s obvious rough edges.

Give Main Tera Hero a shot. Not quite vintage David Dhawan, but it comes pretty close.

Watch the first look of Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Ek Villain'

Sidharth Malhotra is riding high on the success of his last two releases and even Shraddha Kapoor has come out fresh from the success of her last flick with Aditya Roy Kapur.
In their next film, 'Ek Villain', the trailer opens with romantic and lovable moments between the couple. They are shown getting intimate and some lovely grand scenes establish the love track.
But, in a rapid turn of events, the romantic tone changes to villainous tone (as the title suggests) as we see an injured Shraddha being pushed off the building by a masked stranger. Suspense goes a notch higher when we see a calm Sidharth going violent and attacking everyone in the fray. So, is he the Villain or is he not?
To add to the chaos, Riteish Deshmukh is shown at the end walking away at a railway station as the promo closes. There are many questions on the viewers minds as the promo plays out.
While Sidharth looks the part of a brooding lover and a ruffian villain, Shraddha looks innocent and lovely.
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie is set to hit the theatre on 27th June 2014.
Ek Villain is an action romance film directed by Mohit Suri. It features Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Shraddha Kapoor and Amrita Puri in lead roles with Kamaal Rashid Khan (KRK) as the antagonist. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Motion Pictures.

Watch trailer: Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger in ‘Heropanti’

Actor Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff is all set to make his Bollywood debut with romantic action film ‘Heropanti’.
Tiger Shroff is looking no less than a hunk with his well chiseled body and sturdy sharp looks. The Shroff lad is seen doing killer action sequences and deadly stunts in the trailer.
Tiger lives up to the title ‘Heropanti’ totally as he pulls off action, drama and romance effortlessly. The female lead of the film Kriti Sanon, who is a south film actress and model also looks promising in the film.
‘Heropanti’ is a love story sealed with an impossible, tough fate, a story of the bold Bablu and the bratty Dimpy. It is set against brutal clans and an increasingly violent landscape.
Tiger has been specially trained for martial arts for his role in ‘Heropanti’.
The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sabbir Khan, is expected to release on May 23, 2014.
The first official trailer of the film was released on Friday (April 4) by Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan in Mumbai.

Alia Bhatt wants to marry Ranbir Kapoor

Actress Alia Bhatt says she finds Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor adorable and has expressed her desire to marry him.

Alia will be seen in the upcoming episode of filmmaker Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ and when the host ‘asked what is your vibe like with Ranbir’, the 21-year-old actress was all praises for him.

“I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir.. you called him up when ‘Rockstar’ released and you said, here talk to Ranbir tell him how much you love him. And I just spoke so much rubbish, I was just talking non-stop. But later I have hung out with Ranbir and I still think he is really adorable and I still want to marry him,” Alia said.

When asked if she has expressed her love for him to Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor and more importantly does Katrina Kaif (his rumoured girlfriend) know about it, Alia said, “Everybody knows my plan. I have gone on record and said it as you said.. and I am very open about it except to Ranbir.”

In the rapid fire round, when Karan asked Alia to name a person from the film industry who she would like to go on a romantic date with, Alia promptly replied Ranbir.

Alia has been often linked with her ‘Student of the Year’ co-stars Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra but she laughs it off saying, “They (Varun and Siddharth) are constantly pulling my leg. O Pari (Parineeti Chopra) is so sexy..O Pari is like this… Pari is like that. But I know that they love me more than her. And its the same with Arjun Kapoor. So that’s fine.”

Arjun was paired opposite Parineeti in his debut film ’Ishaqzaade’. While Parineeti and Siddharth were seen together in the recently released film ‘Hasee toh Phasee’. Also, there have been rumours that Alia and Arjun are dating each other, but the young actress rubbished such reports.

On the worst dressed man in Bollywood, she said, “I think Ranveer (Singh) has been really experimenting, sometimes I think it is really cool but sometimes it is a miss.”

The upcoming and last episode of the chat show this season will also have Parneeti Chopra as a guest. It will be aired this Sunday on Star World.

Happy birthday: five reasons why we love Kapil Sharma

He is among the top 100 celebs on Forbes India 2013 list. He has been part of hit comedy shows like Comedy Circus and Great India Laughter Challenge. He is the producer-host of the most popular non-fiction show on TV today. And now, he has signed a three-film-deal with Yash Raj Films. We are talking about Kapil Sharma.

One of the most talked-about celebs Kapil Sharma turns 32 .

We list five things from his popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil that caught the attention of the audience. Kapil's character is called Bittu Sharma, which is now a household name now.

Babaji ka thullu

This remains one of the most popular phrases from the show (with that hand gesture). Ever since Comedy Nights with Kapil gained popularity, memes on 'Babaji ka thullu' flooded the social media. Even stars visiting the sets for promotion of their movies have begun using the phrase!

Aapne kabhi socha tha aapko Comedy Nights pe aane ka mauka milega?

He genuinely surprises his celebrity guests with this one. Beginning with praises on how the star has risen to popularity and stardom, Kapil drops the bomb, "Aapne kabhi socha tha aap Comedy Nights pe mujhe live dekhenge? (Did you ever imagine that you would get an opportunity of seeing me live on Comedy Nights?)"

Ittu sa
One of the star characters in Kapil Sharma's family in the show is Dadi (played by actor Ali Asgar). The now famous dadi often shows off  her overbearing 'senior-citizen' status on Bittu (Kapil) and his guests by insisting that she knew about them when they were "ittu sa" (with a typical indication of fingers on how small 'ittu' is).

Shagun ki pappi
Some stars love it and find it cute but most would run away from it. Only, they don't have a choice. Every celebrity who visits Comedy Nights with Kapil gets a forced kiss from Dadi. The kiss goes by the name 'shagun ki pappi' (kiss of good luck)!

Kaun hai yeh aadmi
Bittu's bua (aunt, played by Upasana Singh) is known for her false sense of self-appreciation. She hits on every man who visits Bittu's house. One of her standard antics involves her falling for the man (the star-guest on the show). As soon as the star in question refuses to fall for her, she turns to Kapil and asks, "Bittu! Kaun hai ye aadmi? Mujhe isse baat nai karni." (Who is this man? I don't want to talk to him.)
