It has been building up for weeks now, and last night Barack Obama and his wife Michelle had their first dance as President and First Lady.Following an amazing Inauguration Day, the new President of the United States donned a black tuxedo with a white bowtie and escorted his wife (in a one-shoulder frilly cream-colored dress) out to the dance floor.
And of course, Beyonce Knowles served as chanteuse for the magical moment, singing her own version of Etta James' classic "At Last."
Barack represented Hawaii and Michelle represented Illinois at the Home State Inaugural Ball, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
