In the wake of Natasha Richardson's burial, Liam Neeson's sister Bernadette Sexton has opened up to the media about losing the film and stage actress. "We're completely bewildered and wish we could turn the clock back," she was quoted as telling reporters. "I've spoken to Liam but I'd rather not talk about it, it's too personal."
"Natasha was a wonderful friend, sister-in-law and auntie to my kids," Bernadette recalled. "She was just a warm, generous and lovely woman." Liam himself has not yet made a single statement for the media regarding the death of his wife. Natasha's family also remains silent on that matter.
Natasha Richardson passed away last Wednesday, March 18 after falling down while skiing at the Mont Tremblant Resort in the Canadian province of Quebec on Monday, March 16. The incident left her with a serious brain injury. She was 45 and survived by husband Liam Neeson and sons, Micheal Richard Antonio and Daniel Jack.
Following her death, the lights of Broadway's theaters were dimmed for a minute on Thursday night, March 19 to honor Natasha. A private wake was held the following day at the American Irish Historical Society in N.Y.C. Natasha's body was laid to rest at St. Peter's Cemetery in Millbrook, N.Y. on Sunday afternoon, March 22.
