The scene will actually be quite like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa but this time, it'll be six of Imran Khan's best friends spending quality time together. After having worked continuously for over a year, Imran has finally decided to take a break. And what better way to do that than going on a backpacking trip to Europe with your best friends?
Our source says, "The trip was very different from the usual ones star take. It was not one that Imran splurged on. The seven friends were on an adventure trip. They travelled on a low budget, hitch hiked, stayed in small European villages and met and interacted with the local people."
Apparently, this one was an all-guy trip (oops! Sorry Avantika) with few rucksacks and a lot of laundry making its way back home. Imran travelled in trains and buses and explored as much of Europe as possible with his friends.
You wonder how the actor coped up; didn't he fear being mobbed by fans? The source adds, "This is how Imran is in reality; he loves to travel and explore new cultures and see different places.
Before he became an actor, he'd make such trips often. But over time, he has gotten very busy with his work and has therefore has had to cut down on such trips. Imran was very excited about this trip."
When contacted, Imran Khan said, "I have been working back to back. I finished I Hate Luv Storys and then I started shooting Break Ke Baad.
The moment I came back from Break Ke Baad, I started promoting I Hate Luv Storys. I really wanted to take a break and wanted to go out somewhere. So, six of our childhood friends got together and one more friend joined us.
We all met in London. We wanted to travel around and catch up on old times. We had no clue where we wanted to go. No plans were made. We didn't want to be accessible on the phone either. I wanted to live life and wanted to be at some place where no one would recognize me. We have been travelling for the past 9-10 days."
And could we get a peek into his travel itinerary? Imran adds, "We started off from London and went to so many places, I don't even remember. But we travelled mainly in the Netherlands. We didn't have a fixed plan; we just went wherever we felt like going and whatever we found on the map.
We went to places that the locals suggested. We had our visas in place so there was no confusion over that. The idea was to get out of the routine and come out fresh, which I will be when I am back."
Imran added that his fiancée Avantika had no issues with him going on this trip, but we'll take that with a pinch of salt.
