Director : Kireet Khurana
Cast: Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Tanuja
There is a dearth of happy feeling when you watch Ajay and Kajol’s ‘Toonpur Ka Superrhero’, since the film is not that bright, colorful, smart and feisty like the usual animation films.
However, India’s first live-3D animation combination feature film, which packs a visual package with a dart of sweetness, humor, and plenty of action, can be inspiring enough for children.
So if you’re looking forward to watching slapstick brand of comedy with a spell of animation then head straight for the cinemas with your children to get yourself immersed in the land of cartoons.
The storyline
Bollywood actor Aditya (Ajay) leads a perfect life with his wife Kajol and two kids Kabeer (Amay Pandya) and Raima (Chinky Jaiswal). However, this talented and skilful actor is not able to impress his kids as a real life hero.
The kids want him to flesh out some action like a real life hero, since Aditya always has a body double doing the stunts on his behalf in his films.
While Aditya was waiting to prove his heroism to his kids, he gets kidnapped to the land of cartoon characters and lands himself in his kids favorite cartoon show, Toonpur.
The land is frayed in constant turmoil between Devtoons (good toons) and Toonasurs (bad toons) and Aditya is requested by Devtoons to help them bring peace in the land and fight against their enemies led by the devilish Jagaro.
Aditya, who was desperately looking for a chance to spot some action, gets himself tangled in this upheaval and decides to fight against the enemies to bring peace and harmony in this surreal world.
Aditya achieves his mission in his adventure with the help of the cartoon characters Big Ben, Loveena, Bolly, Guppy, Lappy, and Gyandev.
The bottom-line
The movie has a wafer-thin storyline; however, the movie makes up for this by adorable cartoons characters.
All things said, it sure is a wonderful 3D adventure for kids.
