At 46, Salman Khan is breaking new barriers. His next full-on actioner Kick will have the superstar taking the action to a new level altogether.
It’s time to move beyond the jaw-dropping disbelief with which you saw Salman Khan pummel his opponents in the series of action flicks in the last few years. The superstar is now said to be pulling up his socks for deadlier action and stunts than ever seen in Hindi cinema.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is learnt to have roped in the Hollywood action coordinator Phillip Guegan for the stunts and action in director Shirish Kunder’s Kick, a Hindi remake of a South Indian blockbuster.
We hear that Nadiadwala wants Salman’s stunts in Kick on a par with that of Jason Statham in ‘The Transporter’. Guegan who coordinated the stunts of the first film in ‘The Transporter’ franchise is the right man to make Salman do deadly stunts.
The action and stunts in Kick will reportedly be raw and very real, hence believable. Moreover, there will be a trademark stunt (like the whack with both the hands in ‘Dabangg’) that will be repeated a couple of times in the film.
Kick will apparently put a lot of physical strain on Salman, but the actor, despite his nerve disorder nags now and then, is game to take the action in Bollywood films a few notches up. Time to push the envelope, and who better to do that than the true-blue Dabangg Khan!
