First look - Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children

The First Look of Deepa Mehta's 'Midnight's Children' has been unveiled. The film is based on Booker Prize winning novel by the same name, penned by Salman Rushdie. The film by Academy Award nominee Deepa Mehta boasts off several talents including Siddharth, Shriya Saran, Anupam Kher, Soha Ali Khan, Shabana Azmi, Seema Biswas, Rahul Bose and several others.

Not just is the First Look poster out, but also the news that the film will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September!

The film that's set during the British colonization and partition period in India, is about two people born during Indian independence and their journey. These children born at the stroke of midnight during independence have special powers.

It will be interesting for both bookies and film patrons to watch an epic novel made into a feature film!
