“Barfi” Nominated For Oscars – Category Of Best Foreign Language Film

Recently released movie “barfi” having an outstanding cast i.e Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and southern actress Ilena D’Cruze opened in approximately 700 screens in India.It minted Rs 34.6 crore during the weekend, and amassed a total of Rs 58.6 crore over the week. The movie directed by Anurag Basu and produced by UTV motions rocked on the box office. It has won a million hearts. All the three actors have done a splendid and outstanding job and are gaining applause for their performance in the movie. And now, the current news is that Barfi is nominated for Oscar.

    “Barfi is the Indian entry to the Oscars. We selected it to represent the country out of 20 films,” Supran Sen, secretary general of the Film Federation of India, told .

It has made its place in the nominees of “best foriegn language film” at the oscars held on februaray next year.The different and heart touching story of this movie must have forced the critics to place it in such a huge nomination.Well lets see how long distance will be covered by this movie and whether it gets  the privilege to win the oscar or not.
