Kangna Ranaut, the style chameleon, goes de-glam for her upcoming film, titled Queen. Check out her sweet, innocent look from the film.
She may have a cat woman look in Krrish 3, but Kangna Ranaut is currently working on a film which requires her to be au naturale. The actress will be seen in minimal make-up for the film Queen, directed by Vikas Bahl of Chillar Party fame.
Vikas was very keen to have Kangna without any make-up. Thus the director even refused to hire a make-up artist for her. As per reports, he insisted that Kangna, who looks very pretty and vulnerable without make-up, should go natural, and the fashionista agreed. However, for some parts where she will require applying make-up, Kangna will help herself.
The story of the film is of a simple girl who wants to make it big on her own. One hears that incidents from Kangna’s past experiences have been incorporated into the script.
“The character is quirky whimsical emotional and volatile like Kangna. The line between the real Kangna and her character is so flimsy that Kangna many times ended up borrowing from her experiences to play the role,” a source is quoted as saying.
As per Vikas Bahl, the audiences will get to see the quintessential Kangna Ranaut in Queen. Under that chic veneer the actress is a simple girl from the hills who dreamt big and was propelled into the glam-world by her desire to make her parents proud.
Kangna’s small-town look in the early part of the film is inspired by Jaya Bhaduri in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Guddi and Rani Mukerji in Bunty Aur Babli.
But seeing her in the first look, the gorgeous Kangs reminds us more of Kareena Kapoor from Jab We Met.
