In greed he trusts. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays a blackmailing city slicker in director Susi Ganesh’s film Shortcut Romeo, starring Puja Gupta and Ameesha Patel in female lead roles.
The trailer opens with Neil Nitin Mukesh running on a race course and about two dozen louts chase him with knives, chains and hockeys. Making a run for it, he turns back and beckons them with sadistic glee. “Main bhaagta nahin, bhagaata hoon,” he quips.
Next we see Neil spying on a guy hitting on the pretty Ameesha Patel who is already married to a rich businessman. Neil catches Ameesha cheating on her hubby and blackmails her. What do you want? she asks. His reply: “Main marte dum tak, ameer rehna chahta hoon.”
Puja Gupta makes her entry in a bikini and instantly catches Neil’s eye. Flirtations follow and the Shortcut Romeo is at it again. Playing his tricks and games.
Will this Shortcut Romeo ever get a taste of his own medicine?
Shortcut Romeo is a Hindi remake of Susi Ganesh's 2006 Tamil film Thiruttu Payale. Portions of the film have been shot in Masai Mara and Nairobi. Neil apparently hurt himself while filming the stunts. His shoulder blade was in pain for many days after the shoot got over.
Shortcut Romeo is set to release on April 5.
