As per reports, Ranveer ordered a live brass band to play ‘Happy Birthday’ for Deepika Padukone on January 4. The exclusive arrangement was done entirely by Ranveer for his gorgeous co-star. Deepika was so surprised that at first, she felt a little embarrassed but went emotional later as her eyes became watery. w
A source said: “At the stroke of midnight, all work came to a standstill. A cake was wheeled in and then… the big surprise! A brass band entered the set on cue and played Happy Birthday at full volume for Deepika.”
Before the celebrations, Deepika and Ranveer were actually shooting a passionate song with Sanjay Leela Bhansali at Film City, and seeing the special surprise by Ranveer Singh to usher in her birthday, the actress was deeply moved.
Before Deepika, Kareena had been signed for Ram Leela, but due to some unknown reasons the actress decided to leave the film and Deepika was roped in.
Ram Leela is said to be the Gujarati Romeo Juliet and the film is expected to be as colorful as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam as it’s directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
