Aamir Khan, who started his production house by producing a Bollywood classic “Lagaan” in 2000 had then delivered blockbusters like “Rand De Basanti”, ” Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” has known to have rejected 200 scripts in the last 1 year including the scripts from top directors like Vishay Bharadwaj, Pradeep Sarkar and Priyadarshan.
On the other hand all the top league production houses in the Bollywood have lined up their releases for 2014 and started to make schedules for 2015 releases. But Aamir Khan productions has not even okayed one project after ‘Talaash’ even after getting flooded with lot of scripts every month.
According to the employees at AK Productions, they receive around 15 scripts every month which go through a 3 round scrutiny before going to Aamir Khan himself to give the final wave. It has been said that out of 200 scripts that they have got last year only 15 made it to last round but Aamir Khan has put the thumbs down for those too.
Looking at the attitude of Aamir Khan it clearly implies that he does not want to make movies for the money but instead he wants to deliver the classics which are par to his factory products like ‘Lagaan’ , and ‘Rang De Basanti’ and after ‘Talaash’ did not do that well Aamir Khan has become even more cautious and choosy.
Hope there will be a new project announced soon from the Aamir Khan Productions which will create a huge hype after knowing the extreme choosy nature of his.
