The tattoo was easily readable. It stated the word 'Awaara' written in a Devnagri font. The rumours following the tattoo are that Ranbir might be paying his tribute to his grandfather and the Awaara hero Raj Kapoor.
Also, Ranbir is a part of Bombay Talkies, a film that will mark a 100th birthday of Bollywood so the Casanova might flaunt his tattoo for a special song in the film.
A close source said that the tattoo can be erased. He said, "Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani is still being shot. He came directly from the sets to the event and didn't have time to take the tattoo off. It goes with his character."
Ranbir, brandishing the 'Awaara' tattoo, is a tribute to his great grandfather or is this a new way of marketing his special song in Bombay Talkies? What say?
