Complaint filed against Salman Khan for posting case info online

Salman Khan had recently launched a site related to his criminal case with the intention of dispelling the rumours on his 2002 hit and run case.

However, a social activist has filed a complaint against the actor stating that the site (www.salmankhanfiles.com) is in contempt of the court.

In the complaint filed by lawyer Wajid Khan, the petitioner Hemant Patil claims that since the Mumbai sessions court ruled that the actor must be tried for culpable homicide not amounting for murder in the case, the case was still underway and matter sub-judice.

Keeping that in mind he questions how could the actor could use internet to spread information about the proceedings.

Further, Patil states that the said case is in violation of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 contending that this attempt of actor may prejudice the mind of court which has not yet delivered its final verdict in the case.
