Vishal Bhardwaj has begun filming his next Haider -- last part of his trilogy based on Shakespearean tragedies. The cast and crew including the lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have landed in Kashmir for the first leg of the shoot.
Haider is based on Bard’s Hamlet, and it’s easy to guess what Shahid Kapoor plays in the movie. Shahid is very excited to team up with the director post the super success of Kaminey, and thinks that Vishal would push him to a “new high”. The director-actor duo was contemplating a film together for quite some time, but nothing materialized until Haider.
In the film, Shahid is romancing Shraddha Kapoor. The shoot began at the exotic Dal Lake in Kashmir on Sunday. The crew also witnessed a huge crowd gathered near the shooting location when Shahid and Shraddha shot a few sequences for the movie on a houseboat in the lake.
Wondering, why Kashmir? Well, the movie is set in Kashmir. Director Vishal Bhardwaj has already met Kashmir’s CM Omar Abdullah. The director has reportedly told the Chief Minister that “every character is Kashmiri in my film. It is the story of the people of Kashmir -- both in period and present.”
