Film Gangs of Wasseypur will soon be released in North America and Los Angeles. Written and directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, film is a story of two families who are fighting with each other to acquire control over the coal mining city Wasseypur.
Actor Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi are playing the lead roles in the film. Gangs of Wasseypur was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in the year 2012. The movie is five-and-a-half-hour long, released in two parts but can be screened as a single film at various theatres in Los Angeles and North America.
The distributor of the film shared their excitement on Twitter. Cinelicious Pics tweeted, "Thrilled to announce that we've picked up Kashyap's epic crime saga Gangs of Wasseypur!"
Distributors are also thinking about promoting Kashyap's upcoming film Bombay Velvet, which will be released overseas by 20th Century Fox in November. Bombay Velvet is a drama film, based the book Bombay Fables.
Actress Anushka Sharma will be seen in the role of a jazz player and Ranbir Kapoor essay the role of a boxer named Johny Balraj. Filmmaker Karan Johar has done a cameo role in the film.
