The first look has Emraan Hashmi dressed in team India’s blue jersey with a white helmet Azharuddin was known to wear. We see the crowd hooting and jeering him and we also see a burning effigy.
Mohammad Azharuddin was a supremely talented batsman and a successful Indian captain, but he was embroiled in a match fixing scandal.
'Azhar' is the biopic of Azharuddin. The movie traces his cricket career and personal life. The film stars Prachi Desai’s as Azhar’s first wife Naureen. The second actress who will play Azhar’s second wife Sangeeta Bijlani is yet to be roped in.
'Azhar' is slated to release on 13th May 2016.
