Breaking news. Superstar Salman Khan has been replaced by the young gun Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar’s much-talked-about production ‘Shuddhi’.
The confirmation came from none other than Karan Johar.
Johar tweeted, “And finally..SHUDDHI starring VARUN DHAWAN and ALIA BHATT...directed by KARAN MALHOTRA..@Varun_dvn @aliaa08 @karanmalhotra21 @DharmaMovies”
Yes, Karan’s ‘students’ Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will team up for 'Shuddhi' which will be directed by Karan Malhotra of the ‘Agneepath’ fame.
“Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan...made ur dad n me so proud of u... happy Shhuddhi,” Salman Khan tweeted.
Varun Dhawan replied, “Thank you Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan I promise to make you proud #shuddhi.”
It appears that Salman Khan has been replaced by Varun Dhawan due to uncertainty over his availability for the film because of his sentencing in the 2002 hit-and-run case which will come up for final hearing in Bombay High Court in the coming months.
