Most Bollywood actors aspire to work with Amitabh Bachchan at least once in their career. And Kangana Ranaut is no different. Recently, she shared screen space with the veteran in an ad film that has been directed by film-maker Rajkumar Hirani. In fact, post the shoot, Bachchan even said many flattering things about her on social media.
According to a source, Kangana had told the director that she was a bit nervous about working with Bachchan. “It can be testing for any actor. But Raju comforted her. Kangana was also very surprised to see that Mr Bachchan was very childlike, and full of energy on the sets,” says the insider.
Eventually, the two actors started talking, and they were overheard chatting at length about various topics, including acting. “They discussed how they approach their roles. They spoke about the veteran’s unique acting process,” says the insider, adding, “At the end of the shoot, the entire unit clapped for the two as they delivered the shots beautifully.”
Praising his co-star, Bachchan wrote on Twitter, “At work at last with the wonder called Kangana Ranaut .. she be so good .. and talented and wonderful (sic).” On his Facebook page, he said, “The joy and the ecstasy of working with Kangana Ranaut .. albeit for a short one day ... but so wonderful and enlightening (sic).”
Kangana, who generally keeps to herself on the sets, didn’t have any idea that Bachchan would be so impressed with her.
“Getting praised by Amitabh Bachchan is a big thing for any actor, and even she was thrilled,” adds the insider.
